Once upon a time… when two brothers discovered a passion for chocolate (how weird!) and started to build a successful company on it.
Rick and Michael Mast began this adventure in their Brooklyn apartment in 2007.
The artisanal spirit that led the duo at the time is still traceable in their current 50-employees company with stores in New York and London.
MAST BROTHERS’ chocolate comes up from just two ingredients, cacao and cane sugar, but it’s the result of a meticulous craftsmanship process.
It starts in the research of the finest raw material from countries such as Belize, Madagascar and Papua New Guinea and ends in a distinctive packaging that the bearded couple has designed.
They personally know their suppliers, use sustainable sources and the legend tells that once they brought back beans of cacao from the Dominican Republic by sailboat themselves.
Legends are used when there’s something unexplainable, such as the childlike wonder that comes from tasting a bar of chocolate, a wonder that the brothers know how to master.
