Maciek Jasik, a mysterious vegetable garden

Born in Poland in 1978, but grown up in the US, Maciek Jasik is an artist who continuously works on relations between nature and society, identity and representation.
He tends to reach a balance mixing the aesthetic and the emotional  following a mysterious pattern.
With the “Secret Lives of Fruits and Vegetables” series, Maciek looks inside the exterior skins of eggplants, watermelons, pumpkins & Co. revealing a baffling fleeting fog spilling from a cut.
Through a wise use of hued colours, he created surreal pictures in which the haze lead us to an ephemeral world, unknown but with a kind of magic.
