On 9 October 2009, following a five year stint in Berlin, the Salon for Photography will take place in Hamburg. The UPdate Hamburg is fully booked with 50 exhibitors and is looking forward to a nine hour get together (1pm – 10pm) and lots of visitors.
They can in turn expect portfolios from photography and illustration agencies; post producers, producers, stock agencies all presenting their services.
Art Buyers, CDs, ADs, direct clients, PR offices, journalists etc… can enjoy free accreditation. Business tickets (150 EUR, 1pm – 10pm) for non-exhibiting agents, bookers, producers can be booked in advance or purchased on the day.
Photographers arw welcome to attend the UPdate from 7pm - 10pm (ticket 20 EUR). Tickets for the UPdate & GoSee After Party at Briese Studios can be collected from the GoSee and Briese stalls.

The International Center of Photography in New York is mounting a major exhibition of recent fashion photography, to take place from January 16 to May 3, 2009, as part of the Year of Fashion at ICP. Organized by Carol Squiers and Vince Aletti, the exhibition “Weird Beauty: Fashion
Photography Now” will present a broad range of the most original
contemporary fashion photography and examine the ways in which fashion Fotografen are exploring an array of influences in their work. Alongside original prints and video displays, “Weird Beauty” will display the images in their original context as magazine tear sheets, so as to showcase the work as it was first presented to the public.
