What Mother Made: handed contemporary childrenswear label

What Mother Made is a London based, handmade children’s wear label that blends classic traditional shapes with cool, locally sourced fabrics and contrast prints.
Crafted for babies and toddlers aged 0 – 8 years old, the team behind What Mother Made, carefully cuts, sews and pieces together each item from a studio in East London, Dalston to be exact.
The collections are vintage inspired and they aim to deliver clothing that is playfully traditional with a contemporary edge.
Because their ranges are handmade, they can also offer made to order children’s clothing: tell them the style of clothing and the fabrics you like and they’ll produce it for you.
The new Autumn Winter 2016 collection is a fusion of traditional British tailoring and bold African Prints; corduroy pants, brushed cotton checked shirts and wintery  floral dresses sit side by side with African inspired geometric shapes and colours.
