Brand New!
UPA: Hand knitted Dreams for Little Fairies!

Unbelievable!
Those dresses, cardigans and vests for next Winter look like little fluffy clouds… knitted by and for dreamy fairies! “The idea to create my own children’s brand was born when my mother knitted the first dress for my daughter. That was about 3 years ago…”, recounts Lithuanian Designer Vaida Rasciute, who with her slightly greenish hair, looks like an elf herself.
She created her own first fashion collection when she was in Secondary school. “It was all made from buttons. A crazy idea but my small collection won the second prize and got loads of press attention”, she remembers. “I went to study Textile Design and Technology, but did not finish as I got pregnant with my first child and then went to live to Ireland and studied Interior Design there”.

All her items (0 – 6 years old girls) are inspired by Vaida’s now 4-year-old daughter Liepa. “The wool we are using is finest mohair with silk and merino wool. All dresses are hand knitted in Lithuania or Ireland. They come on a wooden hanger (brass hook which is also bent by hand). Every dress has a beautiful bag that can be used as well.
I believe this dresses can be given to next generations. Even though each looks so fragile, they are incredibly long-lasting. My daughter wears these dresses since she started to walk and I have them already stored for her children!”
