The Small Gatsby x Alma Deutscher

Child prodigy Alma Deutscher premiered her first opera in Vienna, home of The Small Gatsby’s couture clothing label.
Violinist and pianist, she composed her full-length opera, Cinderella, aged just 10 and last December Alma’s opera had its world premiere in Vienna’s Casino Baumgarten Concert Hall.
The Small Gatsby was enlisted with dressing Alma for her performance.  The young girl wore the Sisi of Austria inspired robe from the AW16 collection which had been specially tailored to meet the requirements for playing the violin.
Designer, Anita Dorner, and Creative Director, Teresa Zimmerman, met Alma during her rehearsals in Vienna to work out the perfect style and fit.
I must admit I was totally stunned. This little whirlwind of a person is incredibly charming and fun to talk to, to work with, and then, after weeks, when it was all done we sat and enjoyed the performance and I was so moved. It simply seemed impossible. How can someone this young create such enchanting, perfect melodies, master such a complex work seemingly effortless?” – said Teresa.
Alma’s mother thanked the Austrian brand with a note: “The dress has just the right effect: it looks extremely elegant and effortlessly chic, and yet it doesn’t look fussy or too formal. It is comfortable for a child to wear and to play in, and it accentuates a child’s natural beauty.
