Marcelo Burlon’s latest adventure – Kids of Milan
A cultural wanderer, jack of many trades… all-round movers’n shaker, Marcelo Burlon operates fluidly under the moniker County of Milan. “Designers are superstars. They’re often far-removed in their own boxes. I’m on the dance floor hanging out with the crowd. People feel it’s more real”, says Designer Marcelo Burlon, who built a multi-category street wear business based on authenticity and social media… Originally from the Patagonia region of Argentina, Burlon moved to Milan 22 years ago. He fell into PR and started DJ-ing. “People wanted my mailing list, as I would put together all the cool kids in Milan,” he says. And what started as a visually arresting t-shirt line, has grown swiftly into a full collection, for both men and women. Now a line of kidswear is Marcelo’s latest venture…
Snakes, numbers, geometries… Bold, unique, playful and extremely practical – his children’s collection is satisfying the urge of belonging to a group while choosing pieces that truly feel individual.
