Little Remix is inspired by Retro Sportswear
… and it’s also very much inspired by Seventies outfits… as seen on the young adults in the film The Royal Tenenbaums from 2001 by Wes Anderson.
“The visuals of the Royal Tenenbaum children, especially the style of the mysterious daughter Margot is a very good example of how the active wear can blend in with daily wear and create a relaxed yet quirky expression in an almost surrealistic style” – explains Little Remix Creative Director, Charlotte Eskildsen.
The character Margot is the main inspiration this season.
She is a strange girl, who was adopted to the Tenenbaum family when she was 2 years old. She is an outlaw in the family and keeps many things to herself.
Like her brothers, she is extremely smart and became a play writer at the age of 9 years. She is stunningly beautiful and highly admired among the boys.
She always tries to escape from normalities – at one point she managed to escape from home for 2 weeks and came back with half a finger missing…
Her style is funny mix of sporty materials, fake fur, colors and prints. Her playful way of dressing is a big contrast to her bad attitude and silent personality.
Also the colours are inspired by Margot’s playful outfits: Milky white with strawberry red that eventually colours the milk light pink.
Styles in darker tones as royal navy, brown and black, a true Little Remix signature.
This season’s sporty references are mixed with the idea of layering different silhouettes and materials to create a modern take on clothes that is comfortable yet fashionable and captures the essence of Margot – with a bit of attitude.
