La Granja, Ibiza

For those looking for the most authentic, pristine Ibiza, where the crowds of tourists do not arrive, La Granja is the perfect destination.

Born from the collaboration between Design Hotels and Friends of a Farmer, a group that defines itself as “a creative community dedicated to the cultivation of art, fields and interior gardens“, La Granja embodies a new concept of hospitality, that promotes a sustainable and slower lifestyle. Surrounded by the pine groves of the rural hinterland of the island, La Granja, which in Spanish means farm, is an oasis of quiet and informal yet refined well-being. A place where time slows down and the mind rests. The real Ibiza is here, among the intense aromas of figs and lemons.

The property, an ancient renovated finca, is located a few kilometers from the charming village of Buscastell and consists of a farmhouse with 9 rooms, a guest house with two bedrooms and a kitchen, a large stone pool and an outdoor bar. The rooms reflect the rural simplicity of the farm. Essential and clean lines, a palette of soft colors ranging from grays to charcoal, to brown, almost creating continuity with the external environment. Linen sheets, as well as furnishing accessories in brushed ash, stone and slate, plus Le Labo bathroom amenities, complete the simple yet sophisticated life experience.

La Granja is surrounded by 10 hectares of agricultural land and orchards cultivated by Andy Szymanowicz, an expert biodynamic farmer, who takes care of the harvest and farm animals, led by Coco the pig, the finca’s mascot.

Children are welcome from 5 years upwards. And a babysitting service is available on request, for when parents want to attend cooking or meditation workshops organized by Friends of a Farmer.
