Koa Koa: a creative subscription service for kids

Koa Koa is a subscription service that delivers craft activities both creative and educative for children from 5 to 10 years old.
Once parents have signed up, each month they will receive a box containing everything children need to build up two projects on a scientific or artistic theme, such as the wind, the space, the colors, etc…
Kim Goldstein discovered the concept of “creative boxes” while she was working in New York, and decided to adapt it to the French market with the collaboration of Oscar Diaz, a product designer and teacher at the Royal College of Art in London. The pair is continuously searching for collaboration with designers who create activities that take into account both the visual aspect and the innovative concept.
Educational purpose is the core of Koa Koa’s design label, establishing a cause and effect relationship and encouraging kid’s sense of observation: that’s how children can learn simple principles like optics, electricity or constellations in a funny way.
Trying to fight against the contemporary disconnection that stands between production process and the product, Kim and Oscar think that the best way to raise future independent thinkers is to allow children to learn things by doing and making.
