Deodato Arte Gallery in Milan will showcase the solo exhibition of Tomoko Nagao, Iridescent Obsessions, from September 28th until October 27th.
Tomoko Nagao has been present in great Western art for years, with myths from the manga culture along the path of the micro-Pop trend and the exhibition focuses on the recent and spectacular never seen before works by the Japanese artist. Set on display are her Flowers series, in which she plays with Flemish art re-interpreting it in Pop Art style, and the recent oil paintings of the Gioconda.
In Tomoko’s work we see the transplant of the anime from the Japanese culture into the myths of Western culture.
