Cataleya: Luxury Knitwear for Little and Tiny Little Ones

We discovered a fantastic french knitter brand… Cataleya – the makers of the most incredible knitted creations even for our tiniest sweethearts… they are using a lot of cashmere… this ever so soft and cosy and cuddly material… as well as organic cotton… hand finished with love and passion… Cataleya truly reinvented the great Italian cashmere tradition and re-enchants Egyptian finest cotton.
And like those fibres, also the dyes are natural, made out of a decoction of plants, roots and leaves…
Founded by Anne Semadeni, a graduate of Milan’s well known Marangoni Institute.
After the birth of her first child, she started to create luxury knitwear… her aim: easy to wear pieces… for mums and their tiny ones… who want to look fabulous whilst caring for our planet!
For winter 2016 Anne drew her inspiration from the strong Northern wind. Cashmere and cotton come in guano, a blue black made from an ancestral fodder which medicinal and dyeing properties are reputed from antiquity.
Wrapped up in a cable-knit poncho over samurai turtleneck sweater and hot air balloon-like pants, our little cherubs travel far away without leaving their stroller!
Didn’t we mention? All quite magic!
